Sublimation
Sublimation is an upgrade method that can increase a demon's maximum level past 50, and add new abilities. However, it only works in PvE content, not PvP.
Effects[edit]
Performing sublimation will increase a demon's level cap by 5, and grant a "Sublimation Bonus" ability.
- The Sublimation Bonus is selected automatically for each demon. The first Bonus will be a +10% damage boost based on the demon's main attack type (physical, magic, special) while the rest are the same for all demons (+5% all damage reduction and +5% HP, respectively).
- You can reroll Sublimation Bonus abilities by using Metamorphosis Water.
Sublimation can be performed up to 3 times per demon - meaning a demon can reach level 65, and have 3 Sublimation Bonus abilities.
- This cap will be increased in future updates.
In the Kiwami+ mode, sublimated demons will deal significantly more damage than usual. This mode will also drop 
Sublimation Petals.
Restrictions[edit]
Sublimation upgrades will be ignored in the following modes (mainly PvP or competitive modes):
- D2 Duel
- Battle Tower
- Dx2 Battle Tournament
- Democalypse
In those modes, sublimated demons will be treated as if they are awakened, 6★, and level 50, with no sublimation bonuses applied.
Eligibility[edit]
To perform sublimation on a demon, they must already be awakened, 6★, and level 50.
To sublimate the same demon a second time, that demon must first reach its new max level of 55. The same concept applies to the third sublimation, which requires level 60, and so on.
Update waves[edit]
Sublimation eligibility is added to the game in waves. The "priority group" receives eligibility first, and then eligibility is expanded to more demons over time.
- July 10, 2025 - First 2 sublimation stages added. Only the priority group is eligible.[1].
- August 20, 2025 - All demons became eligible for the first 2 sublimations.
- August 31, 2025 - 3rd sublimation added. Only the priority group is eligible.[2]
- May 19, 2026 - All demons can now be sublimated and leveled to 65.[3]
Priority group[edit]
Demons in this group include:
- All Fusible Demons that are obtained through normal fusion.
- All demons that can be obtained through multi-fusion, including limited-time multi-fusions that are inactive.
Beelzebub☆ and 
Asura Lord are excluded.

Cost[edit]
- The first 2 Sublimations cost Sublimation Petals, with the base cost depending on the demon's base rarity. Higher sublimations on the same demon will also cost more petals.
