Mortal: a matchup tool[edit]
Mortal is useful against targets that actually lack protection. The leading saved-snapshot demons Naamah, Aleph, Hiroko and Amanozako include Null Mortal or other substantial survival/recovery tools; the old guaranteed-kill Alice/Masakado shell is not a sensible default.
Practical use[edit]
Check immunity first. Damage that ignores death prevention is a different mechanic from Mortal; revive bans and their removal must also be checked before treating a kill as permanent.
