Healing and Lydia trigger Golden Greed Zenith. Avoid healing supports, Apsu’s automatic Lydia, and Demiurge’s Drain-heal chain. Remove Poison with a non-healing cleanse and finish with damage.
DaisoujouSummon / multifusionAilment and debuff control
His own ailment immunity lets him lead with Cleansing Shout against Poison and its associated control chains. This restores the party’s ability to act, removes debuffs and recovers MP without an HP-healing effect.
Setup: Use Cleansing Shout manually when needed; avoid Soul Drain and HP-healing transfers in this encounter.
Veil of Night provides single-target Ice damage, ignores death prevention and seals kills, useful for Fafnir while avoiding an HP-healing skill. Its HP cost avoids relying entirely on MP.
Setup: Limited summon; maintain HP and build MATK.
Watch out: Mortal-immune enemies do not become instant kills from her passive.
Fallen Down bypasses elemental affinities and ignores death prevention, useful for direct damage without healing or Lydia. Its single-target opener lets you choose the priority enemy; the follow-up damages the rest and debuffs them.
Setup: Collaboration-exclusive; build MATK and max the active skill.
Watch out: Its damage reduction does not cover Almighty or Light.
Combat stats use the screenshot’s level, STR, MAG and VIT with the base stat formulas. Enemy skill bonuses are not included. HP is the recorded maximum.

Avoid automatic heals, HP-recovery skills and Lydia: Golden Greed reacts with party-wide fractional damage. Use non-healing Poison cleansing/immunity and a damage carry. Nyx and Phoenix are banner damage options; Maria, Asahi and healing-triggered supports are poor default picks for this mechanic.
Ice Pierce and Special Ice hits exploit Fafnir’s Ice weakness without an HP-recovery skill. Her Corrosion and extra-icon interaction add pressure.
Needs: Build MATK and use non-healing support; keep Poison protection/cleansing available.
Watch for: The automatic fractional/Mortal effect may be capped or resisted. Do not add a healing/Lydia transfer that reintroduces Golden Greed triggers.
Fire Pierce and repeated area attacks can remove the support enemies without requiring a healing action. He avoids the automatic-healing problem of many defensive banners.
Needs: Build MATK and enough MP to repeat Fire Tornado; prioritise Poison control.
Watch for: Fire is neutral on Fafnir, not his weakness. Repel Magic does not negate Golden Greed’s fractional punishment.
While the demon with this skill is alive, enemies that are poisoned will take +200% poison damage.
The following Chain Effect will activate at the start of the enemy turn: Remove Barrier from all enemies, and inflict poison with 200% greater chance of success on all enemies.
Activates the following Chain Effect when an enemy enters a state of Lydia or uses an HP recovery skill: Inflict fractional damage to all enemies equivalent to 50% of their respective Max HP. (2,000 damage max)
Fractional damage not affected by any damage increases/decreases, nor any stat buffs/debuffs.
Activates the following Chain Effect when enemy is poisoned: Inflict Phys (Physical) damage (Power: 50) 3 times on random enemies with 50% chance to inflict Bind to demon(s) that were hit when attack is successful.
Activates the following Chain Effect when an enemy is inflicted with poison: Increases the following by 20%: ATK, DEF, and EV/AC of all party members. (2 turns) Reduces two of the following by 20%: ATK, DEF, and EV/AC of all enemies. (2 turns)
Fafnir will hit you with fractional every time you heal or apply Lydia, which makes Salvation a liability. This means noMaria or Yellow Huang Di. Daisoujou is your friend for this one.
They all have Master of Accuracy+ so evasion is not reliable. Phys Anti-Pierce is an option, but do not bring Demiurge if you're going to use Drain Phys, as he will chain an AoE heal which procs Golden Greed Zenith. Repel Pierce is fine.
If you happen you have a full party that nulls poison the fight should be a cakewalk since the entire thing hinges on inflicting said ailment to chain effects that bind/buff/debuff. Easier said than done since Null Poison isn't common, but worth keeping in mind.
