Black Rider deals 15% of your max HP as damage each turn. This damage is lethal and can kill
If you try to heal via skills, he will cast Soul Divide to halve your HP. This is based on current HP and cannot kill.
Revives will not trigger Soul Divide.
Healing sources outside demon skills will not trigger Soul Divide. This makes Seiran an excellent Dx2, as she has a chance to heal the party upon revive.
Only Gurr has weak pierce. Black Rider and Mad Gasser do not have any form of pierce, so they can be walled with Five Elements.
Challenge-specific boss skills, status pressure and powerful counters require a purpose-built team.

Famine deals lethal fractional damage and HP-healing skills trigger Soul Divide. Avoid a conventional healer loop; revivals are explicitly exempt, and Five Elements can wall the boss’s non-piercing Magic.
Fallen Down bypasses elemental affinities and ignores death prevention, useful for a fast boss finish without an HP-healing active. Its single-target opener lets you choose the priority enemy; the follow-up damages the rest and debuffs them.
Setup: Collaboration-exclusive; build MATK and max the active skill.
Watch out: Its damage reduction does not cover Almighty or Light.
Golden Apple’s natural MP bonus supports the reflection and damage plan. Its revival is useful because the guide explicitly distinguishes revives from healing triggers.
Setup: Keep her alive through lethal Famine.
Watch out: Do not add a regular HP-healing transfer and assume it is trigger-free.
Combat stats use the screenshot’s level, STR, MAG and VIT with the base stat formulas. Enemy skill bonuses are not included. HP is the recorded maximum.

Keep Five Elements available and eliminate Gurr/Mad Gasser. Healing skills trigger Soul Divide; distinguish their penalty from revivals and Liberator healing.
Activates the following Chain Effect when enemy is poisoned: Inflict Phys (Physical) damage (Power: 50) 3 times on random enemies with 50% chance to inflict Bind to demon(s) that were hit when attack is successful.
Activates the following Chain Effect at the end of an enemy turn: Inflicts 15% fractional damage (300 max) on all enemies based on their max HP and reduces their MP by 3. Fractional damage will not be affected by stat/damage increase or reduction effects.
Seiran is the preferred Dx2 as she will provide random healing on revive which does not proc Soul Divide.
Although Lakshmi A's heal will trigger Soul Divide, the Five Elements she provides is priceless, allowing you to wall Black Rider completely. She also removes Poison from Mad Gasser which would kill you otherwise, and restores MP to the party to soften up Famine's effect.
Asura vacuums up Gurr's random hits and takes no damage from them (since Gurr only has weak pierce). Ashura gets rid of Auto Luster Candy, and he can deal decent DPS early on.
Nebiros provides infinite revive (the boss can be cursed) for the later half of the fight, where the boss will likely auto attack and kill your demons in two hits.
Setup Mahakala's concentrate and Five Elements on the horde wave.
Kill Gurr first followed by Mad Gasser. Continue to put up Five Elements, ignoring the Soul Divide penalty.
Once you kill both adds, the boss will simply auto attack you twice, either killing a demon (which gets revived by Nebiros the next turn) or missing. As long as Lakshmi A's Virtuous Prosperity can outheal the fractional damage from Famine, you can repeat this loop indefinitely until the Boss dies.
Evasion brands and/or skills on Lakshmi A and Nebiros are appreciated, in event the boss scores unlucky crits and gets additional turns.
Liberator must be Kangaroo Boxer, as you have to rely on getting Position Hack on both waves(it can work even if you don't get PH on the first wave, but ideally you want as much health going into the boss wave as possible)
Set up Five Elements on the first wave, and make sure to come into the boss wave with full MP
Carbon Black is used for more crit damage + abusing crits for Sukunda + Sukukaja and Rakunda. Chalk Eater can also be used for extra MP and Press Hack.
Cast 5Es before proceeding to the boss wave so HL can cast Luster Candy on T1.
Karti for crit passing to HL + chip.
Zaou and Yoshi are the main damage dealers. Divines on Yoshi so he can cast Hassou Tobi more frequently should the opportunity arises. P3 Red Shiva can be used instead of Yoshi for a more F2P option. Same applies for P3 red Siegfried or any Phys sweeper with a cheap hard hitting attack.
Focus on Gurr first so you do not want to deal with bind. He can be killed easily on T1 if you God's Hand him with Zaou and just use Vorpal Blade and regular attack with Yoshi.
5Es must be cast every turn, but with constant crit passing you can easily get HL enough MP to cast it every turn.
Vorpal Blades and Herc Strikes should take out Mad Gasser within 2 turns.
You can easily get Rider down to red HP before LC runs out but by then he can be killed with a few Phys attacks.
Poison + Famine+ will not kill the team within the 3 turns of LC and even then only Karti will die first.
You can also try running dodge brands on HL to end Rider's turn asap once the adds are dead.
