Khonsu/Lore

Official Profile[edit]

The Egyptian god who presides over the moon. He is depicted as a mummified young man with a sidelock of hair hanging from his temple. He is an incarnation of the moon who carries the lunar barque, and is said to walk ever close behind the Pharaoh’s shadow. According to the Pyramid Texts left within the pyramid of Unas, the last king of Egypt’s Fifth Dynasty, the king seeks to gain power by devouring people—and so Khonsu is said to slay chieftains and wring out what lies within their bodies.
