Daphne/Lore

Official Profile[edit]

In Greek mythology, Daphne was a nymph who had herself turned into a laurel tree to escape from Apollo’s passionate pursuit. While she was originally a nymph who spent her days hunting, an arrow from the bow of the love god Eros caused Apollo to begin persistently pursuing her. Thus, she had to constantly run from him. Just as Apollo was about to catch her, Daphne prayed to the river god Peneus, her father, and had him transform her into a laurel.
